My teaching now involves giving workshops from my studio in painting, drawing and mixed media. I also offer 1:1 coaching and seasonal art retreats.
I love to paint and it's a delight to share my joy with others. It is an honour to help people connect deeply through art and creativity.

Continue to explore in more depth intuitive approaches to your artwork this inspiring program is designed to expand your visual vocabulary.
This extensive eight-week program will employ the basic elements of design in fresh exciting ways. Over the eight weeks you will develop several comprehensive drawings and paintings true to your unique expression. The focus of the course is on accessing your inner creative source and creating your own ideas and concepts.

Mary and Jennifer believe that engagement in the arts and the creative process leads to a greater sense of well-being for individuals and the communities in which they live.
We are seeking women who have completed acute treatment for cancer who are interested in being part of creative group and would like to participate in workshops.
Participation consists of:
- Partaking in 3 (3-4 hour) group arts-based workshops, once per week for 3 weeks
- Providing our team with feedback to improve the program
- Workshops will encompass fusion art activities and some discussions
This research may help health professionals to better support people and may help those living with cancer. Space for the workshops has been generously provided by the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.

Enter a world of intuition, imagination and excitement to achieve results as unique as you are. The day will cover basic information relating to picture elements, composition, theme and design together with an exploration of the meaning of abstract painting, and its importance as a means of self-expression and creativity.
We will touch on the history of abstract painting its methods, techniques and materials. Study inspiring examples of abstract work by 20th century and contemporary masters.
You'll learn to explore the use of color and the importance of underpainting, layering and glazing to bring structure and depth to your art.
Treat yourself to a spirited, adventurous time filled with innovative techniques, inventive approaches and breakthrough results.
$135.00 most supplies will be provided. You are requested to bring a 16x20 canvas (stretched or panel), cradled wood panel or paper of your choice

In this workshop you will learn to use colour with confidence.
Become familiar with the key properties; hue, saturation/intensity, value and temperature. Explore contrast, complements, glazing and staining. Learn about the history of colour and explore some of the colour palettes of masters. Paint with the colours you love, try using the ones you avoid and be surprised by what you discover.
If you want to be more comfortable with colour in any art form this workshop is for you.
